Marianne Buerger is our Pastor of Children’s Ministry, and enjoys caring for her “100 children”, none of which she actually gave birth to!
Marianne is the second oldest of four children, with eight nieces and nephews! She was born in Philadelphia, and grew up in Edmonton. She completed her Bachelor of Education at the U of A and taught primary school in Alberta for 9 years. Recently she lived in Vancouver, where she attained her Masters in Christian Studies with a concentration in marriage, family and community, from Regent College. She served at a church in Vancouver for 5 years before joining our team.
When Marianne is not determining which favorite food she is in the mood for, she may be found hunting down the ‘perfect thing’ for whatever project she is involved in. This hunt usually lasts a very long time; however, a good deal may win her over too! If Marianne is seeking rest and relaxation, she will be found immersed in a mystery novel, while sipping on…coffee!
What she does in our community:
Marianne has gracefully doubled our coffee budget, as she needs the boost to look after her “100 children”. She oversees all aspects of Children’s Ministry.
